And while her locks have grown, Millie Bobby Brown explained how she'll always have a soft spot for her beloved buzzcut Monday on social media.
The 13-year-old actress shared video of her first shedding her tresses with her followers along with text describing her transformation as 'the most empowering moment of my whole life.'

Millie, who was born in Spain and raised in the UK until moving to the US to further her career at the age of eight, started her tweets with a simple: 'I miss my shaved head.'
She followed her first message with footage of her haircut that was paired with a lengthy caption about confidence and self-determination.

'The only image I had in my head about what I could possibly look like is Charlize Theron in Madmax,' referring to the Academy Award winner's character Furiosa from 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road.
'As I looked at myself and couldn’t see my old self, I realized that now; I have a job to do and that is to inspire other girls that your image or exterior part is not what I think is important.'
Millie continued: 'What I find important is caring, loving and inspiring other girls. Thought to share my thoughts during this life changing moment.'
In addition to showing the rising star get snipped, the clip also revealed her first reaction to the look.

She squealed with glee after getting a glimpse of her own reflection.
Another tweet contained a condensed version of her ideas, which read: 'Shaving your head is so empowering. You don't need hair to be beautiful. You are beautiful with or without. I learnt that too x.'
Though Brown began as a relative newbie, she's since graduated to a red carpet regular.
