SHOPPERS have slammed online retailer Boohoo, over claims it is using "small" models to showcase its plus-size range.
Twitter user suzziiee_main sparked the debate after saying she was "offended" by the size of the woman modelling the Plus Lucie Crochet Colour Pop Triangle Bikini.
She wrote: "Anyone else majorly offended that this is a 'plus size' bikini on a 'plus size' model?!?! no wonder girls think they are 'fat'."
Suzziiee's complaint has been liked more than 900 times, and racked up 350 re-tweets.
Commenter CJ wrote: "i am fuming. i've been reduced to tears. i am really hurt by this. hopefully they fix it".
While Adelle Carson added: "Makes me so angry!!" and Sober Queen wrote: "Yep I'm shocked, she's nothing like plus size".
Miss Ditzy said: "this is ridiculous. so bloody infuriating" and Stace wrote: "This is awful!!!"
And Meggan VanderMeulen said: "Yeah... that was my only problem with ordering from boohoo. Because I couldn't even imagine the clothes on my body."
Meanwhile, Beth added: "I hate seeing her! She's got such a small figure!!! Not plus size at all!"
But others felt the comments were unfair. Among them was Elly Booth, who wrote: "She's definitely a size 14 at least.
"Just a beautiful healthy gorgeous woman with curves - which is exactly what plus size should be for".
Boohoo Plus is a range of "fashion for the fuller figure", and the line includes sizes 16 to 24.
Boohoo list the same model as wearing a size 16 on several other product adverts.
But this isn't the only shopper complaint about the Plus range.
Boohoo has also been called out by Holly, who pointed out that its Plus Laila Jersey Tie Waist Jumpsuit is listed as being "measured on a UK Size 6".
She asked: "is this a typo or do you actually have a size SIX modelling your plus range?"
While FreetobeOK accused Boohoo of charging a £5 "fat tax" - after noticing that the Plus range costs more.
Sun Online has contacted Boohoo for comment.
In more plus-size news, YouTube star Loey Lane has hit back at body shamers - by jokingly sharing a summer dress code for "fat girls".
And size 24 blogger Callie Thorpe was left devastated after her bikini photo got 900 "vile comments".
