In South Jersey
Privateers & Pirates Festival -- Learn about pirate history, partake in a scavenger hunt, costume contest and pirate crafts. There will be a live band, "Grog Garden" and food vendors. Tuckerton Seaport, Saturday, June 7, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Uptown Pitman Music Festival -- The sixth annual event will be held at Total Turf in Pitman with Christine Ohlman and Rebel Montez headlining. New this year will be a beer and wine garden. Saturday, June 7 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $20.
Strawberry Festival -- Kick off the summer with berries, fellowship and fun. There will be food, carnival games, face painting and live music. Tickets are $8 for adults and include a hot dog, beverage, strawberries, ice cream and cake. St. John's Evangelical Church, 1002 S. Main Street, Williamstown. Sunday, June 8, from noon to 2 p.m.
>Delaware Bay Day
>Delaware Bay Day-- Delaware Bay Day, the free folklife festival celebrating the Bay and the Bayshore region, returns June 7th with events in Bivalve, Port Norris and East Point, NJ, with a schedule featuring new activities as well as the return of old favorites. Festival hours are from noon to 9 p.m.. There is plenty of free parking in Port Norris and free shuttle buses to the festival site run all day. Activities begin at noon with an old-fashioned street parade from Port Norris to Bivalve.
Fishtown FestivALE -- This annual block party in the Fishtown section of Philly is happening just at the end of this year's Philly Beer Week. Three local bars and restaurants - Johnny Brenda's Fette Sau and Frankford Hall - will be serving up special beers and menus. The event will include DJs, and plenty of family-friendly stuff like games, face painting and a dunk tank. Saturday, June 7 from noon to 8 p.m.
LGBT Pride Parade in Philadelphia -- The parade starts at 13th and Locust streets at noon on Sunday and various performers will be found throughout the route as it proceeds down Market and Front streets and wraps up at Penn's Landing with a festival from noon to 6 p.m. There will be music, food, games, vendors, beer, dancing and a kid-friendly zone. Tickets to the festival are $15. Sunday, June 8, noon to 6 p.m.
Radio 104.5 Summer Block Party --- This free concert will be held at Festival Pier at Penn's Landing and feature bands such as The Head and The Heart, KONGOS, Bear Hands and Alright Junior. Free, but a ticket is required. Saturday, June 7, 3:45 p.m.
Clover Market open-air flea market -- Nearly 100 vendors will showcase their goods at this flea market in Chestnut Hill. There will be art, antiques, handmade goods and plenty of food. Sunday, June 8 form 10 a.n. - 5 p.m., 25 W. Highland Avenue, Chestnut Hill.>
