I agree with Alyssa, I think people need to be realistic. I am tall, I guess I’m the “ideal” height for a model, but I am not the ideal weight, far from it. I am not fat, actually, in the real world, people refer to me as thin. I have curves though, and so I actually consider myself a “medium” girl, and we all know that there is no room for medium weight girls in the modeling industry. Even in mens magazines, the so called “thicker” girls are pretty much thinner than average. It’s alright though, I don’t have a heart attack over this and call life and the modeling world unfair, it is what it is. Perhaps its because I am not actually interested in being a model, I don’t know, it just doesn’t concern me, there are other things out there and am happy with my weight. I am actually one of those who thinks that it does not look pretty when a woman is tall and super duper thin. I believe tall woman look better when slender, or a bit thicker..As for the very short women who want to be models, I think you need to be realistic as well. The modeling world is all about a certain look, a certain weight, a particular this and that……It’s and industry and all industry have requirements. Alyssa is right when she says that “short” models are usually not shorter than 5’5″. I am not saying that short woman don’t make good models though, they do for certain modeling jobs….. and I apologize in advance if anyone is offended by what I am about to say, but I do feel that taller women model clothes better, again, not the walking poles we see nowadays, but I mean models like Cindy, Naomi, Claudia, Helena, you know those models from the 80’s and early 90’s that were slender and had beautiful bodies and didn’t look anorexic, to me that was and is the perfect model type.
